Our institution operates in Kisújszállás as a multi-purpose public education centre, providing grammar school education and technical programmes (grades 9–13). In addition, we maintain an independent primary school, kindergarten, and student dormitory. This application specifically concerns the secondary school division. 

We offer general four-year grammar school programmes, an English preparatory year, a science-oriented grammar school track, and a mathematics specialization. Our technical programmes cover the following sectors: Information Technology and Telecommunications, Business and Management, Law Enforcement and Public Service, and Transport and Logistics.

Grammar school studies conclude with the secondary school-leaving examination, while the five-year technical programmes lead to both the school-leaving exam and a professional qualification.

Admission to our institution is based on academic performance. Our secondary school currently enrols 455 students, supported by 47 full-time teachers and 17 non-teaching staff members. Students typically enter at the age of 14–15, and those in technical programmes continue their studies until the age of 19–20. Approximately 34% of our students are local residents, 51% commute from neighbouring settlements, and the remainder reside in our institution’s dormitory. The overall student population consists of 55% boys and 45% girls. Around 15% of our students are considered learners with fewer opportunities due to cultural, social, economic, or geographical disadvantages. We also educate 5 students with special educational needs and 13 students with integration, learning, or behavioural difficulties. Supporting these learners is a priority for our institution. They receive targeted assistance through various support schemes, scholarships, and project-based opportunities. Students facing learning challenges are provided with weekly sessions with a special education teacher or may attend remedial classes to improve their performance in subjects where they experience difficulties. These sessions are also available to any student at risk of failing a subject. Our school psychologist plays a key role in supporting students and staff, contributing to conflict resolution, addressing social issues, and introducing effective learning strategies.

Our institution is located in a region with limited economic, cultural, and social opportunities, which makes participation in international projects particularly valuable for our students. For many of them, such initiatives offer a unique opportunity to gain experience in other European countries, develop their language and professional skills, and broaden their perspectives.
