The Complex of Comprehensive Schools in Rumia - state school is run by the Municipal Commune. The complex consists of: Primary School No. 9 and Upper Secondary School No. 2. The school has 1160 students at the age between 6 to 18

years and 110 teachers. The school is in the city with ca. 50 thousand citizens, located in the north of Poland, at the Baltic sea. The school main activities cover the local and regional scope, as well as the national and international scope

(competitions, contests, projects). one of the school tasks is continuous extension of the educational offer on the basis of labour market research in terms of changing conditions on this market, concerning the employment options, and, on the basis of such information, classes with different profiles are opened: maths, sports (swimming, volleyball), psychologicalpedagogical, defence-sports (innovative educational program, class under the auspices of the Polish Naval

Academy in Gdynia). As a school, we guarantee: implementation of the newest teachingmethods through various forms of student activation and continuous improvement and modernisation of didactic basis; development of knowledge and skills through participation in education (projects, volunteering); provision of modern means of media to teachers and students in order to increase the attractivity of didactic classes (multimedia boards, educational programs); development and extension of cooperation with universities (Maritime University, University of Technology, University of Gdańsk); participation in development of European educational projects with the purpose of acquisition of co-financing from EU funds, search for new contacts with schools from other EU member states; sharing experience, organisation of student exchange with the purpose

of acquisition of new occupational skills, use of computers and information technology in the process of education. The school educates and the students make efforts to: fluently communicate in at least one foreign language, use multimedia and information technology while learning; skilfully communicate with others; have high personal culture and high morale; be sensitive to another human. Teachers who will be involved in this project are highly qualified and educated teachers, competent, continually schooling, creative, resourceful, experience in different activities, projects. The principal supervises the regularity of the project, the coordinator, who is also an accompanying teacher, checks the success of the tasks, compliance with deadlines, contact with partners and coordinators and documentation, the financial manager is responsible for the proper documentation of the budget, and 3 additional accompanying teachers will participate in the project, who will not only participate in the preparation and accompaniment of the students, but also in the implementation and reception of

guests. One of the basic goals we set ourselves is the development of key competences in students (and teachers either) that constitute personal and professional success.
